On the morning of July 29, 40 oak enthusiasts from Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and the United Kingdom met in Jermyn’s House at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens for the first Oak Open Day of the year.

Shaun Haddock invited the IOS membership on July 19, 2010 to an Oak Open Day at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, near London. The aim was to focus on the Mexican oak species in their vast oak collection.
