IOS Service Awards

Since the 2000 International Oak Conference, Service Awards honor individuals (non-members as well as members of the Society) who have made devoted long-term efforts to the genus Quercus and/or to the advancement of the goals of the IOS.

There are two categories of awards: 

  1. Lifetime Service Award: this award is given to individuals who over a lifetime have devoted efforts to the genus Quercus or contributed to the Society and the advancement its goals. 
     
  2. Special Service Award: this award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to our knowledge of oaks or to the advancement of the Society’s goals.
