Burr Oak Canyon Symposium

A three-day conference in McCook, Nebraska, USA, will bring together tree professionals, researchers, educators and enthusiasts for learning, discussion, hands-on education and exploration of the region’s remarkable trees.

The theme is “Under the Burr Oaks: A Gathering on Trees and Human Health,” with a great lineup of renowned speakers, including Kathleen Wolf, Gary Johnson, James Cassidy, Tim Buchanan, Greg Morgenson, and Graham Herbst.

The conference includes an optional pre-conference pruning workshop on Wednesday, the main conference on Thursday, a BBQ and social at Common Scents Nursery, and a Friday morning tour of the incredible Burr Oak Canyon, home to a geographically isolated stand of Quercus macrocarpa that have been growing there since the last ice age.
