Conserving Exceptional Plants: Cryobiotechnology and the Model of Oaks

Virtual Global Symposium and Workshop

This three-day symposium will examine aspects of exceptional plant conservation and then focus on cryobiotechnology tools for their conservation, using oaks and other species as examples. The live sessions will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time each day, with an additional session at 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on October 21 (Oct 22 in some areas) to connect live with participants from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.

Invited talks will be pre-recorded and shown during the live sessions, but will also be made available prior to the symposium.  This event is free, but registration is required. If you have already registered interest, you are automatically registered and you do not need to register again. We also encourage short contributed interactive posters or PowerPoint presentations (4-6 min recordings), to share your work with others. Work that aligns with any of the topics of the symposium is appropriate for submission. Full instructions for submission will be sent to those who register for the event
