Becoming a Member
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the international Oak Society !
As a member, you will have access to all of the services provided on this web site including the opportunity to "create" your arboretum / garden here, and share it with other IOS members plus be able to learn what other IOS members' arboreta / gardens contain; benefit from expert advice about planting oaks and which species will grow where you live and, generally, be in touch with oak-lovers around the world. This web site has been designed to encourage all members to contribute information, photographs and news about oaks and oak-related topics - so become a member, and tell us what you know and what trees you grow !
Becoming a member you will:
- Receive a yearly membership directory, an invaluable network of contacts in over 30 countries on six continents (this directory is also accessible on the web site if you are a member);
- Receive International Oaks, our journal and Oak News and Notes, our newsletter (both of which are accessible to members on the web site);
- Receive special offers on books, publications and oak-related items;
- Be able to participate in the triennial conferences and unique seed exchange;
- Be able to participate in many oak-related events all over the world such as the Oak Open Days and others.
